Getting Started

*If you have been evaluated at another facility, a second evaluation may not be necessary. Please submit recent testing information so we can determine if additional testing is needed or if you are ready to begin treatment.

  1. If you would like to schedule an appointment at our Chevy Chase location, please call the receptionist at: 301-654-1666. If you would like to schedule an appointment at our Rockville location, please call the receptionist at: 301-208-3210.  They will ask for your basic contact information, insurance information, and your general concerns.
  2. Our receptionists will call you back with scheduling options once she has determined an appropriate Speech Language Pathologist – based on your concerns and availability. (A majority of evaluations are scheduled during day time hours; however, therapy times are available after school/work.)*If you have any questions as to whether or not you need an evaluation or therapy, or wish to discuss your concerns prior to scheduling an evaluation, we are happy to schedule a phone consultation.- What to bring:
    • Insurance Card
    • Paperwork required by your specific insurance (referral, prescription, authorization, letter of medical necessity, etc.). We encourage you to call your insurance company prior to the evaluation to understand your speech benefits. View our Insurance page
    • Completed forms from our website

    • Payment is due at the time of service. For your convenience we accept Cash, Check, and Mastercard, Visa, and Discover. We do not accept American Express at the moment and apologize for any inconvenience.

    *The length of evaluations will vary depending on age, disorder, and concerns.

  3. Once the evaluation is complete, the Speech Language Pathologist will briefly discuss the session with you. At a later date, she will follow-up with you regarding exact test scores, diagnoses, recommendations, and scheduling therapy if needed. Depending on scheduling preferences, the Speech Language Pathologist who performed the evaluation may or may not be the one to continue with therapy. A copy of your written evaluation will be sent to you, your physician, and to your insurance provider.
